A 52-year-old man, Adebayo Akinrinoye, has been arrested by detectives for alleged routine defilement of his 16-year old daughter.
The teenager who could not withstand the sexual abuse since she was 14, petitioned the Agbado divisional police headquarters over the illicit affair, prompting detectives to arrest him on September 23.
Adebayo resides at 11, Kabiru close, Idi Oparun bus stop, Matogun, Agbado, Ogun State.

In the petition, the victim alleged that her father had been sexually abusing her since she was 14, and had been regularly abusing her sexually afterwards.
She also stated that all her efforts to stop her father from continuing the unwholesome relationship proved ineffective, hence her resolve to report it to the police.
The Police spokesperson in Ogun State, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this on Friday, said detectives arrested the man.
Abimbola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said that the suspect had also admitted committing the crime and asked for forgiveness from his daughter.
