Many patients who thronged the Ondo State- owned hospital for medical care were on Thursday disappointed as no doctor was on duty to attend to them.
The patients had gone to the hospital after reports that doctors in the state government employment had suspended their three-month indefinite strike action.
Some of the patients appealed to the state government to settle the industrial dispute with the medical doctors.
They said they were happy to hear about the suspension of the strike action but were shocked to be turned back that doctors were not on duty.
Doctors in the state government employment under the auspices of National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP) had commenced strike action in June this year over alleged poor welfare and payment of percentage salaries.

But doctors were not at their duty post on Thursday when our reporter visited the state hospital.
The emergency ward was empty.
A nurse who pleaded anonymity said they were not admitting patients yet.
The nurse however said the Consultants were on duty but do not come to work every day.
Ondo Chairman of Nigeria Medical Association, Dr Stella Adegbehingbe, said the doctors would resume work once their salaries were paid.
Dr. Adegbehingbe said the doctors were last paid in February.
