EDO State Police Command has said it is still searching for the body of a cab driver, Oghogho Okunbor, who was killed and thrown into the Ikpoba River by robbers.
The spokesman, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the suspects confessed to the crime.
Okunbor (46) was kidnapped on November 21, by five armed teenagers, about 9 pm.
They collected his phone and used his ATM to withdraw N1.6 million from his account. They killed him and threw his body into the Ikpoba River at Upper Mission Extension in Benin.
It was gathered a missing person’s report was filed with the police, who, led by Superintendent Richard Balogun, acted and arrested the suspects in Edo and Anambra states between November 26 and December 5.
The five suspects are Chinedu Amah (19); Chinonso Ozuora (18); Moses Joseph (19); Onyechika Emmanuel (18) and Marvelous (20).
Joseph said they killed Oghogho because he was struggling and arguing with them.
