The Edo 2021 National Sports Festival has been fixed for February 14 to 28 in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The National Council of Sports on Tuesday confirmed the new dates during a virtual meeting which had the Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare as well as Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillips Shuaibu, who is also the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC).
The gathering had in attendance Commissioner of Sports and Director of Sports in all the states of the federation as well as Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the body reportedly agreed to stage the multi-sports fiesta in February after it suffered postponement due to COVID-19 pandemic.
