EiD-ul Maulud: PSC calls for peace, unity, tolerance

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad to pray for the unity and oneness of the Nigerian nation.

Argungu said the occasion calls for renewal of our faith in our nation, for tolerance, sacrifice, and manifest patriotism adding that as citizens we must support our leaders and promote the ideals that unite the nation.

The PSC Chairman noted: “On this auspicious day, may our faith in Allah grow stronger in our hearts and let us be filled with gratitude. Let’s remember that the Prophet’s life is a source of guidance for us.

“DIG Argungu extended his warm wishes for a blessed EID-ul Maulud celebration and prayed “May your heart be filled with faith and love.”

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC boss called on the Muslim faithful in the Commission to remember the Prophet’s teachings of love, peace, kindness, and tolerance: “and prayed that the grace of His birth should illuminate their lives”.
