Police in Zamfara have rescued eight kidnapped persons from bandits in Bungudu council of the state, spokesman Muhammad Shehu in Gusau said in a statement on Tuesday.
Shehu said the eight persons abducted on August 25 were released unconditionally.

“The victims were medically checked, debriefed by the police and reunited with their families,” he said.
Shehu appealed to residents to cooperate with the police and other security agencies in the effort to restore lasting peace in the state.
