Eko Akete (Mainland) Cooperative Multipurpose Society midweek held its 59th Annual General Meeting & Annual Reports.
The well attended event, albeit with conformity to COVID-19 was held at the Sir Gabriel Orororo Multipurpose Hall, Ikotun Lagos.
President of the society, Lateef Olubodun Oloto, said it was an important occasion, being the last in the life of his administration. He also used the opportunity to introduce the incoming president in person of the incumbent General Secretary, Mr. Mobolaji Zaccheaus.
Oloto said the society received increased loan requests from members, but pointed out that the management faced the challenge headlong, ensuring prompt disbursement of loans to members as at when due.

He said the society has invested in assets and other profitable investments with the hope of further creating wealth and resources for the society.
Presenting the Management Committee Report, Zaccheaus, on behalf of the President, said the society recorded significant improvements compared to the year before (2019).
He announced that the society has recorded increased application from intending members, even as he noted that membership of the society as at December 31st 2020 stands at 13,630.
He also announced the completion of 28 2-bedroom flats named Oluwole Ogunlolu Housing Estate on Governor’s Road, Ikotun, commissioned on the 14th July by the Hon. Commissioner for Commerce, Industry & Cooperative, Dr Lola Akande.
