Emzor Pharmaceuticals Limited has partnered with Freedom Foundation to help in the rehabilitation of drug abusers.

The partnership was announced in commemoration of this year’s International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.

With the tagline for this year being Better Knowledge for Better Care, the emphasis is on the need to improve the understanding of the world drug problem and how better knowledge will foster greater international cooperation for countering its impact on health, governance and security.

Emzor Pharmaceuticals Marketing Manager Kunle Faloye said the firm was committed to ensuring that the society is free of drug abuse.

“We are aware of the dangers of drug abuse in our society today and, unfortunately, it has eaten so deep into the society that it is now a norm.

“As an organisation, we will continually educate the public on the dangers and enlighten other stakeholders on what is expected of them. The fight against drug abuse is a collective one and we are happy to lead the charge”.

Emzor has been instrumental in the fight against drug abuse. The company engaged over 2,000 secondary school students in 2018 with the Emzor Wellness Club campaign tagged Students unite against drug abuse to sensitise teenagers on the need to shun drug abuse.

For two decades, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has been helping make the world safer from drugs, organised crime, corruption and terrorism.

It is committed to achieving health, security and justice for all by tackling these threats and promoting peace and sustainable well-being.

Freedom Foundation is a non-profit organisation, committed to empowering individuals who are plagued by various categories of social and economic challenges.
