The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has described the inauguration of a national caretaker committee for the body as an illegality.
Addressing a news conference in Lagos, the Southwest Chairman, AFAN, Otunba Femi Oke, said the national executive was unconstitutionally dissolved and a caretaker committee inaugurated by the Chairman ,Board of Trustees (BoT), Admiral Murtala Nyako (rtd).

He said the BoT chair dissolved the body without querying them.
He said it was an internal issue that could be resolved for failure to conduct an election as a when due last year.
He said: “The meeting of the National Working Committee held recently in Abuja for the national executive election in which request was made to nominate a member to act on electoral committee from the six geopolitical zones of federation.
