Super Falcons’ forward, Ngozi Okobi has expressed confidence her squad will perform better towards Nigeria’s 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup as she jets-off with her teammates from Austria to Reims, France.
The Eskilstuna United DFF midfielder hopes for a better competition ahead as Falcons face Norway on June 8 in a Group stage of matchday one at the Stade Auguste-Delaune II, France.
A 25-year old confident Ngozi said, “I have good feelings about this Women’s World Cup because I believe Super Falcons are not just going to be benchwarmers but instead we’re coming with a different team this time around, this is a different Super Falcons for me because we have prepared really hard and I know we’re ready to go.
She added: “Against Norway, it’s going to be a start for us, though being the first game it’s going to be tough but Falcons will definitely scale through, I have so much confidence in us.”

Ngozi Okobi had played for the Nigerian team, albeit the Under-17 squad since 2008 and got her first senior call up immediately after the U-17 tournament in 2010.
Nine times AFCON champions have departed the Avita Resort in Bad Tatzmannsdorf in Austria, where they were on two-week residential camping, and landed in Reims, venue of their World Cup opener vs Norway, on Tuesday.
Nigeria will then lock horns with the Korea Republic in their second group match on Wednesday, June 12th and the final group game against hosts France on June 17.
