FLEEING Boko Haram and Islamic State of West African Province ( ISWAP) fighters have abandoned their gun trucks as federal troops bombarded their hideouts in Borno State.
Several of the insurgents were killed in the operation conducted by troops of Sector 1 Operation Lafiya Dole at Gajigana in Nganzai Local Government Area of the state.
Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, said “the Air Task Force scrambled its attack aircraft and helicopter gunships to provide close air support and engaged the Boko Haram terrorists in exchange of fire with troops”.
