Firm donates to orphanages

Dufil Prima Foods, maker of Indomie Noodles, celebrated this year’s valentine with the less-privileged, particularly orphans and the elderly.

The brand donated food items, educational materials and several cartons of its products to selected orphanages and homes for the aged to mark valentine.

The Indomie team in Lagos visit the Heart of Gold Children’s Hospice in Surulere; Holy Family Home for the elderly; Regina Mundi Catholic Church, Mushin; Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care and Treatment School, Akoka, among others.

Dufil’s Group Public Relations and Events Manager Tope Ashiwaju said: “The donation is an avenue for the company to show love to the less-privileged, especially the orphans, by putting a smile on their faces.

In the spirit of this season, the management and staff of Dufil Prima Foods Plc want everyone to have something to cheer about.

“The visit is a continuous endeavour for us. It was wonderful seeing the children and elderly smile.”

Ashiwaju said Dufil will continue to seek ways to make life better for people.

Coordinator of the Regina Mundi Old People’s Home Revd Mother Anthonia Adebowale, who received the Dufil team, thanked Dufil for its regular support and encouragement. She said the gesture will give a sense of belonging and make the elderly feel loved during the season.

“We are grateful to Dufil Prima Foods for this kind gesture and hope other corporate bodies and individuals will tow this path,” she said.
