THE five coronavirus cases identified in Akwa Ibom State are in stable condition and responding positively to treatment at the isolation facilities of the Ibom Multi Specialty Hospital, Uyo, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital Professor Emmanuel Ekanem said on Sunday.
According to him, the patients are recovering very fast even as he said they have no need for ventilators.
The CMD assured that no fatality would be recorded in the state throughout the period of the scourge because of the state of the art medical facilities provided by the state government.
Prof Ekanem spoke at the weekend while taking delivery of hand sanitisers and other Personal Protective equipment,donated to the hospital by Akwa Ibom State branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN.

He hinted that the Governor had given marching orders for the five coronavirus cases to be given the best treatment.
He applauded the unity and support from health workers and insisted that the global pandemic required every cooperation and sacrifice from health care workers and the citizens.
