Flood assessment: Abubakar slams attack on officials

JIGAWA State Governor Badaru Abubakar has condemned attacks on the government’s flood assessment team by some victims in Hadejia Local Government Area.

Abubakar made the condemnation when he addressed reporters in Dutse the state capital.

He described the attacks as political and unfortunate.

The governor said: “This action, initiated by some bad people in the community, who are not happy with the positive performance of the present administration, is not in Jigawa people’s character.

He said the attacks were purely political; hatched and executed by the opposition who are the real enemies of progress in the state.”
