The Osun State chapter of InterParty Advisory Council (IPAC) has advised the Federal Government to focus more on rural communities rather the urban areas in its campaigns and battles against COVID-19.
Shortly after the inauguration of the new executives of the group, newly elected IPAC chairman in Osun State, Alhaji Ajao Adelakin, who assured the government of IPAC’s support to prevent the spread of the virus in the country, also advised the FG to engage politicians in the management of COVID-19 pandemic.
He maintained that politicians are close to the grassroots and are familiar with the masses and therefore should be used in waging war against the deadly virus.

According to him, the politicians know the people and understand the best ways to appeal to them to obey the government’s COVID-19 directives.
He said the IPAC, which comprises of all registered all political parties in Nigeria, believed that house to house campaign and sensitization programmes will help prevent the virus from spreading.
