Former Deputy Senate President Ibrahim Mantu is dead.

He died on Monday night in an Abuja hospital after a brief illness.

He was 74.

A family source confirmed his demise to The Nation on Tuesday.

He said: ”Yes, it’s true. We just received the news of his demise last night at a hospital in Abuja.

“He has been ill for some time and was again rushed to the hospital in Abuja but unfortunately he died.”
