Moba Leadership Forum has distributed palliatives to not less than 1,000 exit students in Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The event coincided with pre-launch of the forum at Moba Grammar School, Otun-Ekiti, headquarters of Moba Local Government.
It was flagged off by the council chairman, Hon. Bayo Aborisade.
Aborisade appreciated the forum for complementing government’s efforts at tackling coronavirus, stressing the needs for all well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture.
Oore of Otun-Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, praised sons and daughters of Moba land for coming together at such a time to cushion effects of the pandemic on students and their parents.
He gave his royal blessings and reiterated needs for the forum to remain united and focused.
Chairman, Panel of Administrator of the Forum, Otunba Ayanlola Kolawole, represented by Prof. Wole Adebayo, explained the forum is “a non-political, non-religious, non-governmental and non-profit entity with membership of about 300 like-minded men and women from all the communities in Moba Local Government.”

He said the goal of the forum is to bring together Moba sons and daughters from all walks of life to pool resources and experiences to further unite and develop the community.
He added the palliatives were ‘widow’s mite’ of the forum towards preventing community spread of the COVID-19 among 1000 exit students.
Responding on behalf of all the 16 benefiting schools and about about 1000 public and private secondary school students in the local government, Mr. Femi Aje, Principal of Moba Grammar School, Otun Ekiti, appreciated the forum for their kind gesture, appealing to other members and groups in the council area to follow suit.
