Four men, Yahaya Oluwatoyin, 45, Rafiu Ayelabegan, 50, Babalola Ridwan, 17 and Ladi Jinadu, 59, were on Thursday arraigned at a Senior Magistrates’ Court, Ilorin for alleged criminal conspiracy and trespass.
Prosecuting Inspector Isaac Yakub told the court that the case was reported to the police last December 13, through a petition by Mr. Buhari Abubakar of G50, Balogun Gambari, Ilorin.
He said Abubakar complained that the accused persons trespassed into his property without his consent and stole some items.
Yakub alleged that the accused stole five head pans, three wheelbarrows, half tonne of 16 mm iron rods and two hammers belonging to the complainant, valued at N1.08 million.

The prosecutor said that on investigation, three accused persons confessed that the fourth accused, Liadi Jinadu, sent them to the complainant’s building to steal the items.
He said investigations showed that the four accused persons conspired and trespassed into the complainant’s property.
Yakub alleged that the accused persons committed offences punishable under sections 97, 348 and 287 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
Senior Magistrate Muhammad Ndakene granted the accused persons N200, 000 bail and two sureties each in the like sum.
He said that the sureties must live within the court’s jurisdiction and adjourned the case till January 23.
