Four men have been arrested in Ondo State in connection with phones stolen during last week’s second-term inauguration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. The event held at the Dome, a cultural centre.

Names of the suspects were given as Ojo Femi, 30, Abiodun Adewale, 45, Kayode Olarewaju, 45 years and Aiwole, 25.

They were reportedly apprehended by men of the Operation Scorpion Squad on the Ilesha-Akure Road while returning to their bases in Oyo, Osun and Kwara states.

Seven phones stolen at the inauguration ceremony were recovered from them..

Police spokesman Tee-Leo Ikoro said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
