After a 14-year hiatus, Funmilola Amosun is set to return to the movie scene with a new film, The Confidant.
In a brief chat, Amosun explained that her return to the industry is with a bang after taking a break to raise a home and family with her husband in 2006.
“I left the podium when the ovation was very loud. Abruptly, my boyfriend then, now my husband pleaded with me to quit acting and concentrate on our love. It was very painful then, and today, I have got a wonderful home with this great man I love and appreciate so much. But now, I am back and ready to make a statement because I left the scene as an upcoming actor and now I am returning as a producer.”
Amosun’s new flick, ‘The Confidant,’ features Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Ibrahim Chatta, Antar Laniyan, Jaye Kuti, Bimbo Oshin, Fausat Balogun, Ronke Ojo, Adebayo Salami, Fabian Fadugba, Olamilekan Oseni, Tosin Williams, Ricardo Agbor, and John Olakunle Dasilva among others.
With several movies in her kitty, Amosun is notable for her role in ‘Omidan Meje’.
