Game of Thrones character, ‘The Mountain’ breaks the deadlift world record

Hafþor Julius Bjornsson who famously played ‘Gregor Clegane’ better known as ‘The Mountain’ in the Game of Throne, has broken the world deadlift record.

The 31-year-old strongman broke the record on Saturday after lifting 501kg from his home Ryekjavik, Iceland.

He breezed through his first two lifts of the day by lifting 420kg and 465kg before creating a new record of 501kg moments later.

He won the World’s Strongest Man in 2018.
