Wase mourns Balarabe Musa

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila and his Deputy, Ahmed Idris Wase on Thursday expressed sadness over the passing away of former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa.

The Speaker, who described the late Balarabe Musa as a dogged Democrat, said he would be remembered for always standing for democracy, adding that the late politician was one Nigerian who could be described as highly patriotic in his dealings.

Gbajabiamila commiserated with the government and people of Kaduna State over the loss and prayed the Almighty to give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

On his part, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, said Balarabe Musa was a committed nationalist who rendered selfless service to his country before, during, and after the second republic.

The Deputy Speaker said the late politician was committed to the ideals of good governance, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect for all persons, adding that his life was full of lessons for today’s young aspiring Nigerians to learn from.

“As we mourn the passage of a father and a leader, I pray to the Almighty Allah to give his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the loss,” the Deputy Speaker added.
