Genk coach John van den Brom has said he believes Paul Onuachu can also score goals in the top leagues in Europe after he did so last season in Belgium.
Onuachu was widely expected to move to one of Europe’s major leagues this summer, but Genk did not receive a concrete offer for the giant striker even after he scored 35 goals in all competitions last season.

“Put Paul (Onuachu) in a top league, surround him with even better players and he will score his goals there too,” the Genk coach said. “I really like him very much.
“So, I still don’t understand that no club made a concrete offer for him (in the summer).”
Genk have since extended his contract till June 2024.
