Abdulsalam also regretted that the peaceful protests organized by youths were hijacked by criminal elements who destroyed government critical infrastructure, private properties and released prisoners.

He also noted that this development forced the government to send out security agencies to restore law and order which unfortunately further led to the loss of more innocent lives and properties saying that two wrongs cannot make a wrong.

He insisted that dialogue is the only way out urging all parties to embrace dialogue and stop the rampage and destruction.

Abdulsalam then appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to continue addressing the grievances expressed by the aggrieved youths and layout programmes that meet and addresses the objective of the protest.
