Daniel Banabas fires home the 82nd minute equalizer for Sunshine Stars with a sublime finish after Alex Aghahowa had capitalised on a defensive mishap to give Lobi Stars the lead in the 54th minute of the encounter.
In other Group B game, MFM FC lost their second match of the competition by going down 2-0 to Cynosure FC. The Lagos based side, who drew 0-0 with FC Ebedei in their first game on Friday, could not contain the fire powers of the “giant killers” Cynosure with first half goals by Dabarachi Anyawu (20’) and Ibe Peter (41’).
In Group A game also decided on Saturday, goals from Tijani Adamu and Mohammed Hussaini ensured Kwara United defeated Phoenix ACF 2-0.
Harmony Warriors went ahead in the 16th minute following good combination from Alebiosu Segun and Sani Rabiu to set up Tijani Adamu for an easy tap-in that beats Shola Abdullahi, who was in goal for Cynosure.
Mohammed Hussaini then converts an 80th minute penalty to seal victory for the Ilorin based side.
The coach Abubakar Bala led side who had defeated Almar FC 3-1 in their first game on Friday, now tops the group with six points.
Remo Stars continued their winning streak by defeating Rivers United 2-1 in the last group match on Saturday.
