Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gombe Central Senatorial District on Sunday also passed a confidence vote on the administration of Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
In a communique issued at the end of an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting of the party held at Yamaltu Deba yesterday, the party faithful unanimously resolved to eschew bitterness and rancour and continue to operate as one, united and stronger APC family under Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya as the political leader in the state.
The meeting acknowledges and commends the performance of Governor Yahaya in the past two years for his unprecedented, diverse and equitable distribution of developmental programmes and projects not only in Gombe Central Senatorial District, but also in the entire state.

“The stakeholders unanimously resolved to and hereby pass a confidence vote on Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya and declare our unflinching support, solidarity, unalloyed loyalty and unshakeable stand with his policies, laudable programmes and political direction.
“We commend the Governor’s political sagacity and magnanimity as well as his avowed commitment to the growth and consolidation of the gains of our great party in the state and country in general.”
Similarly, the stakeholders commended the governor for the various appointments given to their sons and daughters in his administration.
While acknowledging the unique leadership style and approach to matters of security by Governor Yahaya, the stakeholders said these have largely led to the attainment of peace and tranquillity in the state.
They also congratulated the Governor on the successful conduct of the party’s ward congresses which they said was devoid of any rancour and acrimony in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution and guidelines.
