THE Rivers State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Felix Obuah, has described as barbaric, heartbreaking and condemnable, the gruesome murder of the Leader of Ahoada West Legislative Assembly in the state, the late Mr. Ekele Fineface Cohen Chikobi, popularly called EFCC. Obuah, yesterday in Port Harcourt, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Pastor Jerry Needam, stated that the Thursday murder of the PDP stalwart was a great loss to the ruling party in Rivers.
He declared that the unfortunate incident portends danger to Rivers people, especially with just three weeks to the 2019 general elections. Obuah called on the police to launch full investigation into the killing of the popular member of the party, thereby ensuring that the perpetrators were brought to book, declaring that PDP leaders would not fold their arms and watch a systematic decimation of members of the party. He urged security agents in Rivers to be more proactive and ensure that the lives and property of all the people in the state were adequately protected.
Obuah, while condoling with members of the bereaved family, other people of Ahoada West LGA and the entire PDP family on the unwarranted murder, prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
