The board and management of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 68th birthday.
A statement from the Office of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, said: “All of us at LASUTH wish to celebrate a special person, a man of the people, an icon of democracy and a true elder statesman. We wish him a happy birthday.”
The statement added: “We recall your highly supportive role, in the start off of our teaching hospital, which has now become the fastest growing in sub-Saharan Africa.”

Fabamwo said Asiwaju Tinubu is a treasure to humanity.
“We use this unique moment to let you know how much we appreciate your contributions to our world.
“As a new chapter dawns for you, we pray that all your dreams come true and we wish you a new year filled with abundance, joy and strength.
“We can’t forget that it was during your tenure as the governor that the Lagos State Government converted the Ikeja General Hospital to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), precisely in July 2001. We wish you more fruitful years ahead,” he said.
