A commercial motorcyclist was on Sunday crushed to death by a hit-and-run driver along Onitsha-Awka expressway in Anambra State.
The incident occurred around 6.38am at the popular Odumodu junction in Umunya, Oyi local government area of the state.
The Nation gathered that the deceased was attempting to drive past the highway when he was knocked down.

Confirming the incident, State Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Pascal Anigbo, attributed the cause of the incident to speed violation.
He said the victim was rushed to the hospital by the FRSC rescue team where he was confirmed dead by the doctor, adding that the corpse was taken home by the deceased family.
