The Coalition for A Better Nigeria on Monday identified Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola as a civil liberty society leader who helped boost rights activism in the country.
It noted, for instance, the former Osun State Governor’s role in the Coalition’s “successful inauguration” in 2009.
“The success story of many Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) today in Nigeria, including self determination groups, won’t be complete without mentioning his humble contributions,” its National Coordinator, Awa Bamiji, said in a statement.
The statement extolled Aregbesola’s virtues on the occasion of his birthday. Aregbesola turned 63 last Monday.

Bamiji added: “Our man of the moment, Engineer Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, who has touched so many lives positively, and he is still touching them on daily basis, is a rare gem, a multi-talented leader in the civil societies and a committed political leader with uncommon vision
“Our generation is so lucky to have this gentle man of the people, who is extremely loyal to his political Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and ever accommodating to his teeming followers and supporters across the world, including us, members of the Coalition for A Better Nigeria.”
