The National chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr. Boniface Aniebonam has attributed the party’s escape from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deregistered parties to hard work and adherence to guidelines.

Addressing a conference at the party’s secretariat in Lagos, Aniebonam highlights the numerous achievements of the party in 20 years.

He said, “The emergence of NNPP is a loving testimony to how a divine touch can propel man to change the course of history, the dream came to me in a clear way, of a political party with the name “New Nigeria People’s party.

“When 28 political parties were first deregistered in 2012, our great party survived. Once again, the hammer could not come near our party this time around, because we worked hard to do what the law expected us to do. We were and still compliant with INEC guidelines on how parties should run.”

“Inspire of all the hurdles, the party has not gone under. The party offers the hope of a new Nigeria to the people. Without sounding immodest, NNPP is one of the best performing party in Nigeria as of today” he added.

He said the party’s Presidential candidate in 2019 general elections was disqualified at the last minutes.

According to him: “We also fielded a candidate for the presidential election but INEC disqualified our candidate at the last minute based on age limit. At the end of the exercise, NNPP came out in flying colours winning some seats both in the National and state legislature”.

Aniebonam reiterated that the party is out to remain the voice of the people, urging them to seize the momentum and key into the party’s objectives.
