Singer and instrumentalist Segun Akinlolu aka Beautiful Nubia has revealed the secret of his youthful looks while on stage.

The 54-year-old band leader of the Roots Renaissance disclosed that whenever he is on stage he pours out all his knowledge, talent, and all he has.

Beautiful Nubia made this known at a recent event to celebrate 20 years of his third studio album, ‘Jangbalajugbu.’

During his performance at the event, Beautiful Nubia midway shares his thoughts with the attendees.

“A lady told me that she has been at my last three shows, and whenever I come on stage, I look 34 but by the time I finish, I look 54. It’s normal. When I’m on stage, I pour my knowledge, talents, and everything out, that’s how it’s supposed to be. You don’t leave anything, you pour everything here. So that when you (fans) leave here, you can feel good, positive, and strong.

“And when you go out there to the world, everybody will notice there is something different in you because this is a powerful show, a life-changing concert where we share wisdom and knowledge that will keep reverberating in your mind.

“The words will guide you and you’ll be an angel for change in your environment, teaching people how to honest and truthful, how to be strong in love, how to be humble and patient, how to be hardworking, how to be contentment and all. That is why I love seeing people around to share knowledge among ourselves.”

Beautiful Nubia is popular for his 2002 classic project which has songs like ‘Baba Mimo’, ‘Seven Lifes’, ‘Owuro L’ojo’, ‘Jangbalajugbu’, ‘How do you do?’, and ‘What a feeling.’
