THE Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has ordered stringent security checks at boundary communities to ward off infected people from entering the state.
The governor, in a statement by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji, yesterday, said the directive was to forestall an epidemic of the disease in the state.
Osuji, also disclosed that the state may soon start community testing for coronavirus to curb the spread of the disease.
The State recorded its index case on April 20, with two elderly persons, who had no travel history.
