The Force public relations officer, Frank Mba has confirmed that the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) has not been disbanded.
He made this confirmation in a telephone chat with The Nation correspondent on Monday.
When asked whether IRT had been disbanded, the Force PRO said the team hasn’t been disbanded.

Earlier another source said it was not true that IRT was disbanded rather that the report of the disbandment of the team was a fake news that should be disregarded by the public.
It advised that people should ignore the fake news going round.
