Managing Director of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna (Sardaunan), has expressed deep sadness over the demise of the father of the popular Nollywood actor, Ali Nuhu
Sardauna described the death of the elder statesman; Nuhu Poloma as huge loss, not only to Gombe state but to the nation at large.
In a statement signed by Gwamna and made available to newsmen on Wednesday, he explained that the deceased devoted the better part of his life to the development of the state and the country, contributing to national development in the various capacities he served while alive.
“The whole of Gombe state has suffered a great loss with the death of Nuhu Poloma, who ranked as one of the illustrious sons of the state.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss, more so at time like this, when Gombe state and Nigeria needs his wisdom and guidance,” he states.
In his condolence message, Gwamna prayed that as the whole nation mourns Poloma’s death, that may God Almight grant his family members and the entire people of Gombe state the fortitude to bear the loss.
Late Poloma who hails from Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe state, was one time Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe state.
He died at the age of 79, leaving behind his wife and six children, among which are popular Nollywood actor, Ali Nuhu.
