Bauchi State Government has confirmed five new cases of coronavirus contracted through community transmission.
Commissioner for Health, Dr Aliyu Maigoro, stated this on Sunday evening through a text message sent to our correspondent.

He simply said: ” No Almajiri among the last 5 new cases. They are from the community. Thanks”
The new infections bring the total cases to 53 as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday night.
The total discharged cases remain six while active cases are 47.
