Kano State government has relaxed the lockdown order from 6am today to 12 midnight tomorrow. The measure is to allow residents to prepare adequately for the Ramadan fast.
Speaking while addressing the maiden briefing on the lockdown and the beginning of the Ramadan fast at the Government House on Wednesday. Deputy Governor Nasir Yusuf Gawuna who spoke on behalf of the Governor said the relaxation would allow the people to stock their houses with foodstuff.

He said the state examined the rising number of the COVID-19 case extend the closure of schools until further notice.
He called on the people to cooperate with the state government in her efforts to tame the COVID-19 disease.
