Kebbi State government will provide moral and material support to women and youths to engage in profitable ventures for economic viability, it was learnt on Wednesday.
Governor Atiku Bagudu stated this in Argungu at the disbursement of micro-loans to 1,500 women and youths by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
Bagudu said already fishermen, herdsmen and entrepreneurs have enjoyed similar support to enhance their business. The governor Atiku welcomed the Federal Government’s gesture through its policy on loan disbursement, through the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, and implemented by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
He advised beneficiaries to utilise the loans judiciously towards meeting the target objective, and endeavour to repay to enable others benefit.

Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami said the loan disbursement was in furtherance of efforts by the Federal, state and local governments to improve economic activities among the populace.
He praised President Muhammadu Buhari and NDE for ensuring that such loans reached the ordinary people in the society to enhance petty trade.
