Mary Keitany of Kenya won the New York City Marathon for the fourth time Sunday, reclaiming the title after finishing second last year.
Keitany, 36, finished the 26.2-mile race in 2 hours, 22 minutes and 48 seconds, averaging 5 minutes and 27 seconds per mile.
Thousands of runners packed the race, which starts on the Verrazano Bridge in Staten Island and ends in Central Park near West 66th Street.
The winner of the marathon is awarded $100,000.
