A mob has set five suspected kidnappers ablaze on Afuze-Uokha Road in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.

It was gathered on Sunday in Benin, the state capital, the kidnappers seized some travellers, whom they moved to their den in the forest, but they were later apprehended by brave vigilance members, who set the abductees free.

The kidnap suspects were brought to Uokha community,  where a surging crowd of villagers burnt them.

Police spokesman Bello Kottongs, a Superintendent of Police (SP), who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the command had ordered thorough investigation.
