Police in Cross River State have confirmed that Mr Akeem Ibrahim, the kidnapped owner of a popular nightclub in Calabar, Amber Club &Karaoke Lounge, has been freed.
Police spokesman DSP Irene Ugbo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the phone that Ibrahim was released on Saturday night.

“Ibrahim has been released and is receiving treatment,” Ugbo said, adding that many individuals and security agencies were involved in securing the club owner’s freedom.
Ibrahim was abducted on March 8, 2020 by unknown gunmen around Ibom Layout. His car was later found near Liberty Gospel Church in Calabar.
