The Lagos State Government has approved the commencement of the multi-million naira development project in Odo-Ogun community.
This was made known by the Commissioner for Water Front and Infrastructural Development, Kabir Ahmed, when he visited the site during the week.
The project, proposed by a Chinese Investor, Jin Anping, in 2019, has caught the attention of the state government and would be supported accordingly, says Ahmed.
Marking the starting and ending points of the site during the inspection, the commissioner revealed that work will commence on the development plan as soon as possible following approval from the state government.
“The Lagos State Government has reviewed the project plan and considered it a veritable project for the growth and development of the community and state at large.

That is the reason for today’s inspection and approval. The state government has agreed to partner with the investor and give full support to see that the project is actualised,” he said.
Speaking during the inspection tour, Anping said, “It will be named ‘Odo-Ogun Castle Estate.’ We have made reservations for residential houses for the villagers, good road, hospitals, schools, shopping mall, water-scheme, among others infrastructure are to be built.”
The community’s lawyer, Mr. S.O.K Shillings, added that the visitation of the commissioner to the site marks the cooperation between the Lagos State government and the Chinese investor on the project.
