Lagos govt issues safety alert to residents

Director General of Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC), Mr. Lanre Mojola, has urged Lagosians to take responsibility and be more safety conscious, as end of year approaches.

Addressing reporters at the weekend about safety in the environment and the current weather accompanied by excessive heat and dry conditions, Mojola said safety of lives must be prioritised.

He said: “Once there is life, there is hope for a better tomorrow. We can only hope for the best.”

Mojola said the current weather was unfavourable, adding: ‘’Excessive heat due to dry weather can lead to tiredness, high fever, blurred vision and dehydration, which are uncomfortable and harmful to health.’’
