The Lagos State Government has urged residents to be wary of fraudsters parading themselves as state officials and extorting money from them at the construction site.
General Manager of the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory, Dr. Abiodun Afolabi said the agency was poised to bringing sanity to the built environment and ensure that materials utilised for building purposes stand the test of time.
Afolabi said he has declared zero tolerance to all forms of impersonations of staff of the agency.
According to him, three suspected impostors were caught by the agency at Igando in Alimosho and handed to the police for interrogation and prosecution.
Afolabi warned impostors to desist, adding that there is a new Sherrif in town.
