The lawmaker representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Segun Odebunmi, has brought electricity to six communities.

Odebunmi, who chairs the House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Value, also empowered over 1,000 youths with vocational training.

Some of the benefitting communities – Biiro Olooyo, Iregba Oja, and Kale – have been in existence for over 300 years without electricity while some have poor supply due to lack of transformer.

Residents described the electrification as historic and a major step towards development. They praised Odebunmi for facilitating development projects, and urged him not to relent.
