The Federal Government has filed forgery charges against a lawyer, Eziafa Samuel Enwedo.

The lawyer is involved in a case in which a court purportedly sacked Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Enwedo and some others recently claimed to have obtained a judgment from the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), purporting to sack Ubah, who represents Anambra South in the Senate.

The lawyers are accused of giving false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about his academic qualifications.

In a six-count charge filed on March 12, Enwedo was accused of working with others, including Ubah’s main opposition politician, Obinna Uzor, as well as three others to forge documents on the suit.

Also named in the charge filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, are the claimant in the suit: Anani Anacletus Chuka, Aroh Ifunanya and Faith Samuel.
