A surveillance camera at Lekki Toll Gate which captured activities on October 20 when the alleged shootings of #EndSARS protesters occurred, stopped recording at about 8 pm.

Lekki Concession Company Managing Director, Mr. Abayomi Omomuwa, said the camera network was interfered with and stopped recording.

Omomuwa spoke while testifying before a Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the Lagos State Government to probe the Lekki shootings as well as complaints of human rights abuses against members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

The LCC, operators of the Lekki toll gate, tendered the video footage to the panel.

Omomuwa said, “I can confirm that inside here is the video footage that our surveillance camera was able to record for the 20th of October.”

Soldiers have been accused of opening fire on #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate.
