Lions Club donates sentry posts to traffic agency

OTA Diamond Lions Club, under the District 404B1, Association of Lions Clubs International, has extended the group’s humanitarian services to road safety.

The group has donated sentry posts to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in the Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area to enable the agency personnel discharge their duties effectively.

Speaking while presenting the gifts, the club’s President, Temilade Amadi, said the infrastructure was to extend the hands of fellowship to the agency and contribute the group’s quota to its development, welfare, safety of life and property on roads.

She said the club’s objective is to continuously put smiles on the faces of the less-privileged in society.

She stressed that the group would continue to complement the government’s efforts by rendering humanitarian services to the needy.

According to her, many people had benefited from these projects in Ota and its environs.

Amadi is the 19th President of Ota Diamond Lions Club. She took over the mantle of leadership from Mr Oyeyemi Omotayo to steer the affairs of the club the next one year.

While receiving the gifts on behalf of the agency, Ota Divisional Head of Operation 1, Adetunji Michael Oyebola, thanked the club members for improving the lives of their fellow human beings.
