Ahead of January local government election in Borno, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has commenced sales of Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for chairmanship and councillorship elections.
According to a statement by the State Publicity Secretary, Malam Makinta Zarami, the sales which commenced on September 20, would end on September 28.
“Interested party members are advised to obtain the form within the stipulated time as there will be no room for an extension,” Zarami said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) had on Aug. 2 released a time table for the council election.
According to the election time table by BOSIEC, parties are to submit a list of nominated candidates on October 16 for screening and final display of cleared candidates on November 19.
Election campaign by parties is to commence from November 28 to January 18, 2024, and the election is scheduled for January 20.
