Former Remo Stars defender , Rasheed Sodiq , is happy for being awarded man of the match on Monday when Skopje FC edged Shkupi with a solitary winner in the top Macedonian League.
The 22-year-old Nigerian was the star of the match with quality composure in the defence line that frustrated the home team’s attack. He was on top of his game to ensure a runaway 1-0 victory against the Macedonian League’s defending champion at the weekend.
Sodiq, who has enjoyed media rave in the recent time after being awarded three consecutive man of the match awards , has promised to keep giving his best for the team in their battle to survive relegation.
“It was a wonderful victory, we deserved the maximum point because we all gave our best and fought hard to ensure we left the stadium with victory. His recent performances have positioned him as one of the best rated African youngster in Europe and he’s being monitored by several top clubs for possible transfer in the summer.
