Former Remo Stars defender , Rasheed Sodiq , is happy for being awarded man of the match on Monday when Skopje FC edged Shkupi with a solitary winner in the top Macedonian League.
The 22-year-old Nigerian was the star of the match with quality composure in the defence line that frustrated the home team’s attack. He was on top of his game to ensure a runaway 1-0 victory against the Macedonian League’s defending champion at the weekend.
Sodiq, who has enjoyed media rave in the recent time after being awarded three consecutive man of the match awards , has promised to keep giving his best for the team in their battle to survive relegation.
“It was a wonderful victory, we deserved the maximum point because we all gave our best and fought hard to ensure we left the stadium with victory. I am happy for my team and my team mates for proving a worth of professionals,” Sodiq said. “Winning such an awards here is very tough, but for me, it gives me the privilege to work more harder, I

His recent performances have positioned him as one of the best rated African youngster in Europe and he’s being monitored by several top clubs for possible transfer in the summer.
